kew terraces

This Kew house sits high on a steep site. The garden had seen better days - it lacked structure and clarity - and apart from two mature Camellias and a Pomegranate tree, healthy plants. There were no steps or a clear pathway up the slope from the garage and driveway to the house terrace and entry.

The new scheme terraced the site, added broad comfortable paths and steps and introduced layered planting of contrasting texture, form and colours.

The maroon retaining wall complemented a similar wall at the rear of the house while the custom-made steel fence relates to the steel balustrade on the house terrace.
