courtyard george

George’s circa 1970’s terrace house lacked an appropriate courtyard garden. Assembled with salvaged and 2nd hand materials, this small modernist composition plays muted greens and greys off against a deep red, large format trellis and matching gate. A band of granite cobbles lead the eye to the pond at the end of the courtyard and a suspended re-purposed chain mesh gate serves as an arbor for the pepper vine growing overhead.
